SAFE SANCTUARY POLICY
The Annual Conference is asking all churches to develop
a Safe Sanctuary Policy in response to Ohio Senate Bill 187.
The law may require all prospective and current volunteers
with "unsupervised access to a child" to provide a set of
fingerprints and a criminal records check. The intent of this
bill is to protect children from being served by a person who
might cause harm. Insurance companies are beginning to
require it. Hopewell will be developing a policy in order
to be in compliance with this law.
