Existing Hopewell United Methodist Church
2007 Committees

Church Council (aka Administrative Board)
focuses on the administrative aspects of church life.
This is the board of final approval on all administrative matters.
Members:  Chair (currently Rojer Moody), Chair/Rep. of  Council on Ministries,
Chair/Rep. of Pastor Parrish Relations Committee, Chair/Rep. of Finance Committee,
Chair/Rep. of Trustees, Church Treasurer, Financial Secretary,
Lay member to Annual Conference, and the pastor.
Would like to add 2-3 “at large” members to Admin Board  since UMM and UMW presidents
and President of UMYF will only be on Council of Ministries from this point forward.
Perhaps one “at large” member could be a youth.

Meeting: Every other month and as needed.
Term:  3 year--unless on the Council by terms of another office,
then those other terms apply to this position.

Finance
Dealing with financial issues of the church, including the church budget.

Lay member to Annual Conference, Auditor (Earl), and 3 at-large members

Term:  currently there are no term limits; starting this year, I would like to
start a 3-year term limit on the 3 at-large members.

places of leadership within the church; also, to promote an understanding
